I was very satisfied with the course. I have taken a few online workshops and I really like the way this course was designed technically and I think that really matters given COVID and moving forward. I like that the material was available prior and shown via a demonstration that I could slow down ...pause.... rewind and take at my own pace. Thumbs up!! For me that was as good or almost better than in person...hahaha...I could digest and really try and understand the process better. Also I liked the Zoom critique and the format used in viewing the artwork. Well done. Everyone saw the art work clearly. The critique was personal which in some Zoom workshops is not provided in such a clear way. Also in person we don't actually get as close to the individual art as we did through Zoom. I much prefer this way of interaction over Facebook!!!! Thank you so much for intentionally thinking this through. In addition, I so appreciate the concepts of design and the principles of design with succinct clear definitions. I will refer to those in my work. Great job for online workshops. I would definitely and will recommend the workshop to my friends...who already appreciate your teaching style and will most definitely appreciate the sensitivity to the participants in the way you designed the technical format and the layout of the workshop. With regards to the workshop and the process of the intuitive sketch, I really respond to this way of doing art. My mind enjoys this process in thinking about creating. Responding to color, shape, value, line, and staying in the moment with each move of the pen or brush. The outcome almost becomes secondary...I enjoy the creating so much when making art this way that the finishing is really not important. It's strange but that's what I discovered. When I look at the pieces I created I like them...but I like them because of what joy they brought and HOW I got to the completed piece. I need to sit in that reality for a bit. I hope this transfers over to my other art...but alas my stubborn brain may not let me. And given that it is abstract I believe my mind does not get too much of a fight to control the outcome. Stan,...so appreciate your workshop and sharing your process. All the best to you and your family during this time. I will be looking forward to more of your workshops in the future:). On to making more art!!
